We are searching for an individual with experience in Java, Typescript, Angular and Python development with a Relational and NoSQL data store.  This individual will be required to work closely with members of NexGen and client’s teams, including but not limited to subject matter experts, technical leads, and project managers.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:\nDeliver reliable and high-quality code to meet requirements withing tight deadlines.\nTranslate business specifications into cohesive software design and implementation.\nModify applications and subsystems including bug fixes of the code. This includes manual intervention to fix production aborts.\nProvide technical assistance to the client for future upgrades to the development tools (such as Eclipse) and environments.\nCollaborate with client to review punch-list/Jira items and assist in making recommendations for fixes and enhancements to supported applications.\nTest all application changes and prepare deployments.\nAssist client personnel in providing support for all applications maintained.\nAssist the help desk personnel with troubleshooting any software problems with the appropriate level of expertise related to the application or any of its subsystems.\nNotify the client project manager of any unresolved user problems or other areas of concern.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nTechnical Skills/Experience:\nStrong background in Java application development.\n3-5 years of experience programming Web Services.\nStrong background in Java Front-End development.\nUnderstanding of Object-Oriented concepts, design patterns, and modern application frameworks.\nFamiliarity with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle.\nFamiliar with Agile methodologies.\nObject Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming.\nJava/Java EE Web application development using JSF, JSP, Struts, Seam, Hibernate, and Spring framework components.\nJavaScript including jQuery or Angular7+.\nHTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3), Bootstrap.\nExperience with TypeScript.\nBackground in Restful Webservices.\nJava EE containers such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss and/or other industry-standard Java EE application servers.\nGit, Maven and other standard Source Control and Build tools.\nMicrosoft Cloud Services, Azure and Power Platform.\nWindows and Linux proficiency.\nUse of SQL and NoSQL to access and update data.\nKnowledge of patterns in software development.\nPrior production support experience.\nAdditional Skills:\nCapacity to remain focused with task at hand as well as multitasking.\nEffectively and accurately communicate with management regarding project status, issue identification, and remediation.\nStrong sense of ownership for assigned tasks and willingness to go the extra mile when needed.\nThe candidate should also possess strong oral and written communication, problem-solving skills, and should be a team player.\nThe successful candidate will also be able to pass background screening prior to employment.\nUS Citizenship, or legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.\nEducation:\nBachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science degree or related discipline with 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.\nNexGen Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
