You will run the import cycle end to end — from GIS/CIM export through Monarch import, validation, and promotion — triaging defects, managing exceptions, and keeping the model of record clean. This role sits at the choke point of the whole ADMS: every advanced application, every trace, and every SCADA mapping depends on the quality of the imported model, and you are the person who protects it.\nKey Responsibilities\n•  Own and manage the recurring network model import process: schedule imports, monitor execution, validate results, and promote approved models across environments\n•  Operate the Monarch model management toolchain in depth — Maestro, Leitmotif, and related import/validation components — including import configuration, mapping rules, and error handling behavior\n•  Triage every import cycle: analyze failures and warnings, classify root cause (source data, CIM mapping, model structure, platform), assign ownership, and drive defects to closure with GIS, engineering, and platform teams\n•  Manage the exception queue: unmatched or unmapped devices, connectivity breaks, missing or invalid attributes, duplicate objects — track aging, enforce resolution SLAs, and escalate systemic source-data problems rather than patching them one by one\n•  Work with the GIS/EO teams on CIM export quality; provide defect feedback in a form they can act on, and verify fixes in subsequent exports\n•  Build and maintain Python scripts to automate pre-import validation, data quality checks, exception reporting, and repetitive triage analysis\n•  Manage data arriving through ODS landing zones and side-loaded datasets: validate staged data before load, govern manual/side-load corrections so they don't corrupt the model of record, and reconcile conflicts between side-loaded data and the authoritative CIM import\n•  Coordinate downstream impact of model changes with SCADA mapping and advanced applications teams (DPF, VVO, FLISR, Feeder Reconfiguration), since import changes reset traces and affect application readiness\n•  Report import health: success rates, defect volumes and trends, exception aging, and recurring source-data issues — with recommendations to reduce defect inflow over time\nRequired Qualifications\n•  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)\n•  2–4 years of experience in utility OT, ADMS/EMS model management, or GIS-to-ADMS integration\n•  Hands-on experience with the Monarch model import process, including Maestro and Leitmotif — import configuration, validation output, and error/exception handling\n•  Strong working knowledge of CIM (IEC 61970/61968) and CIM-based model exchange, including CIM/XML structure, class mappings, and common failure modes in GIS-generated CIM exports\n•  Foundational-to-intermediate Python scripting skills — able to write data validation, parsing, comparison, and reporting scripts independently\n•  Understanding of ODS landing zones and staged data architectures: how source data is landed, validated, and loaded, and how side-loaded data is governed and reconciled\n•  Solid grasp of distribution network models: feeders, substations, switches, transformers, connectivity, and phasing — enough to judge whether a model defect is cosmetic or operationally serious\n•  Defect triage experience in a multi-vendor environment, with the discipline to classify, prioritize, and track issues to verified closure\n\nPay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour\n\nWork Location: Remote","company":"Sn Cloud Solutions","rawCompany":"sn cloud solutions","city":"Denver","state":"CO","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-11-05T09:30:42.488Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1241.00","title":"Computer Network Architects","slug":"computer-network-architects"},{"code":"15-1244.00","title":"Network and Computer Systems Administrators","slug":"network-and-computer-systems-administrators"},{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"}],"industries":[{"code":"541690","title":"Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services","slug":"other-scientific-and-technical-consulting-services"},{"code":"541330","title":"Engineering Services","slug":"engineering-services"},{"code":"221121","title":"Electric Bulk Power Transmission and Control","slug":"electric-bulk-power-transmission-and-control"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Network Model Import Engineer","description":"Role Summary\nWe are looking for a Network Model Import Engineer to own the network model import process for an ADMS program on the AspenTech OSI Monarch platform.
