The Material handler will also assist operators with daily tasks to ensure no stops in daily production. The day-to-day tasks of a material handler may vary depending on the processes scheduled for that day. The Material Handler's main task is to:\nJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nMove products in and around the warehouse with forklift\nDriving the yard mule around the plant when necessary\nLoad and unload packages\nOrganize reaction raw materials in the most efficient way using forklifts\nReceive and check incoming scale tickets\nSample Raw materials from drums, totes, and ISO containers\nChange filters and run multiple filtration processes\nLoad waste into ISOs from tanks, totes, and drums\nPull material for operators to run processes\nDocument orders, materials, and any stock movements\nBe able to hook up and disconnect any trailer or railcar for unloading/drumming\nMust have thorough knowledge of all ISO production procedures and TCT Safety rules\nPerform plant cleanup standards tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday\nProperly label flush and partial drums\nMust be able to identify and secure all outside manifold lines\nService the filter pots and record data\nBe able to interpret and follow special instruction per receiving report\nMust be able to identify damaged drums before applying labels and or/stenciling\nVerify the correct product name, code, and lot number to be drummed per the Production Run\nKnows how to properly load containers to standardize drums and totes in a safe efficient manner\nKnowledge of spill prevention and clean up control\nExhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors\nKnowledge and Skills:\nHigh School Graduate or GED desired but not required.\nWork Experience:\nProven experience as a Material Handler, 1 to 5 years of experience working in a Warehouse setting or similar position.\nExperience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, yard mule, scissor lift).\nSkills and Competencies:\nHave full understanding of all Third Coast Safety rules\nCertification to ride forklift truck\nMust be able to work well in a team\nAbility to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance\nAbility to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends\nKnowledge of our quality policy and objectives\nQuality focused, strives for high level of accuracy and completeness\nSolid basic math skills\nStrong organizational skills, quality focus with ability to follow established SOPs, and GMPs\nMultitasking/prioritization skills and a sense of urgency, while maintaining SQE standards\nPhysical Requirements\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.\nThe team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.\nThe team member is occasionally required to sit.\nThe team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200400 pounds.\nAbout Third Coast\nJoin the Team Behind the Industry’s Leading Chemical Service Provider.
