Always the right career direction.Job Description SummaryThis position serves to lead a team of security personnel, using IT systems for access control, site patrolling, emergency responses, report generating, incident investigation, and all other standard security duties in the protection of persons and properties of Southeast Health. The person in this role assists in distribution of daily duty roster, daily briefings/roll call, and holiday management. Team Leader assists to enforce compliance with policies, procedures and protocols of local, federal, state laws as well as Southeast Health facility standards. Team Leader assists in the audit of security practices, and processes.Job DescriptionEssential FunctionsResponsible for daily valuable/safe audits to track accuracy for who/what was secured or released during previous shiftOversees daily shift rotation for security postReviews shift flex and schedule overlaps to ensure continuous coverage.Second tier trainer for shift once initial training is completed.Primary responder for escalated incidents and AIDET communication framework follow-up.Reports all incidents verbally to team members received from other departments or obtained during shift activity.Acts as primary liaison between ER charge nurse and daily security team.Responsible for security vehicle inspections.Audits morgue, reporting to House Supervisor/ Case Management of residents greater than three (3) days.Primary shift responder for sensitive incidents (private terminations, Security Assessment Reports (SAR), harassment).Write accurate, clear and legible incident reports documenting investigation steps and results with little or no editing.Performs other duties as requested by primary manager that do not compromise moral code of conduct or protocols set in place for patient or employee safetySupervised Positions* NoneQualificationsMinimum Education Required* High school diploma or equivalentMinimum Education Preferred* The equivalent combination of education and experience to include one (1) to two (2) years' experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security managementMinimum Experience Required* One (1) year experience as senior level officer,* Taser or Control Device CertificationMinimum Experience Preferred* One (1) year experience as senior level officer,* Working knowledge of Centers for Medicare regulations in Healthcare SecurityRequired Knowledge/ Skills/ AbilitiesMaintain current Taser or Control Device CertificationKnowledge of investigative proceduresTraining and knowledge of appropriate hands on and verbal de-escalation.Demonstrates proper body mechanics when confronted by persons on Southeast Health property.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to operate in stressful environments while maintaining a high level of professionalismValid Alabama state driver's licenseAbility to operate company owned vehicles for department and organizational needs and must meet the following age requirement:1. If transporting more than just self in the vehicle - must be at least twenty-five (25) years old,2.
