This position will support and optimize our on-premise SAP ECC (NetWeaver 7.5) landscape running on Oracle databases on Linux within a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nThis role is purely technical and platform-focused — responsible for system engineering, integration enablement, performance optimization, archiving execution, connectivity, and S/4HANA migration readiness across a complex SAP ecosystem including EWM, TM, SCM, MDG, GRC, BW, SAP PI, and Solution Manager.\n\nPrimary responsibilities include:\nSAP Platform Engineering\nProvide technical oversight of SAP on NetWeaver 7.5 running on Oracle/Linux\nPartner with Managed Service Basis and infrastructure teams on:\nSystem performance optimization\nCapacity planning\nLandscape stability\nTransport and environment coordination\nMonitor and optimize Oracle database performance\nIndex and Statistics management coordination\nSQL performance analysis (non-coding)\nDatabase growth forecasting\nSupport Linux-hosted SAP application environments\nSAP PI & Cross-System Integration Enablement\nSupport technical configuration and monitoring of SAP PI integrations\nEnsure reliable connectivity between:\nECC\nEWM\nTM\nSCM systems\nMDG\nGRC\nBW\nExternal MES and warehouse systems\nCoordinate firewall, port, VPN, and certificate requirements with network teams\nValidate end-to-end interface connectivity and message flow performance\nTroubleshoot cross-system communication issues (non-development)\nManufacturing & Supply Chain System Support (Technical Oversight)\nEnsure stable technical integration across:\nWarehouse operations (EWM)\nTransportation execution (TM)\nSupply chain planning (SCM)\nSupport high-volume transaction environments typical in manufacturing\nData Archiving & Volume Management\nLead execution of SAP data archiving strategies\nADK configuration\nArchiving object lifecycle management\nData retention policy alignment\nCoordinate database footprint reduction initiatives\nSupport pre-S/4HANA data volume cleanup\nPartner with compliance teams to ensure audit and retention alignment\nS/4HANA Migration Technical Readiness\nSupport system readiness activities for S/4HANA migration\nData volume assessment\nAdd-on compatibility coordination\nSimplification item tracking\nCoordinate custom code analysis efforts (without performing development)\nAssist with technical planning for Brownfield or phased migration programs\nAlign landscape components for future HANA transition\nProject and Delivery Execution\nMust excel at a project-based execution and delivery model. The SAP Technical Engineer will be assigned to projects with a specific purpose, scope and outcomes defined\nMust be efficient and effective in designing at a detailed technical level solutions required in the SAP technical space.
