Two Paraprofessional Positions - Upper Bucks County, PA (Contract)Seeking dedicated paraprofessionals to support students with moderate autism across various PreK-12 classrooms in Upper Bucks County. Ideal candidates will reside near Trumbauersville, Quakertown, or Pipersville and be committed to fostering positive, structured learning environments. These contract roles require consistent attendance, punctuality, and strong collaboration with special education teams.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized support to students with moderate autism, focusing on social, communication, and behavioral needs.Assist classroom teachers in implementing educational plans and behavior management strategies.Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with educators and support staff.Participate in mandatory orientation and ongoing training as required.Qualifications and Experience:Minimum 1+ year experience as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom (PreK-12) supporting students with behavioral challenges.Must meet Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirements:Completion of at least two years post-secondary study (48 college credits), orAssociate degree or higher, orCredential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators issued by Pennsylvania Department of Education.Candidates not currently credentialed must obtain certification within 60 days of assignment start.Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (exact schedule varies by grade level).Reside within 35 minutes of Upper Bucks County locations.Reliable transportation and ability to commute consistently and punctually.Assignment Details:Location: Upper Bucks County, PA (outside of the main IU building).Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.Duration: ASAP through June 12, 2026 (tentative, aligned with school calendar).Mandatory orientation week prior to start.Candidate submissions must include supervisor references, resume highlights, confirmation of credentialing understanding, and responses to screening questions regarding availability, commute, experience, and commitment.
