Senior engineers operate independently, oversee complex projects, and mentor junior engineers.Key Responsibilities:Design & EngineeringReview contract drawings, specifications, proposals, and budgetsDevelop design schedules and manage engineering deliverablesDesign DDC control panels, wiring schematics, and system interfacesCreate control strategies for HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsDesign BAS/BMS communication networks and system architectureDevelop electrical installation drawings and scopes of workSelect control system products and create project bills of materialsDocument sequences of operations and system performance parametersProject CoordinationCollaborate with project managers, field teams, and commissioning staffProvide technical support during installation and startupEnsure designs align with field conditions, constructability, and client expectationsParticipate in client and contractor coordination meetingsQualifications:ExperienceMid-Level: 2+ years of HVAC/BAS controls design experienceTechnical KnowledgeStrong understanding of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systemsExperience designing DDC/BAS/BMS control systemsAbility to interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and communications drawingsKnowledge of system integration and building networksSoftware SkillsAutoCADBluebeamMicrosoft Office SuiteProfessional SkillsExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong organization and multitasking abilityAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyCollaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetEducationBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferredBenefitsTEC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and PTO, 401(k) with company contributions, potential for profit sharing, and professional development opportunities.
