{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"de6865402a0e4c7abcbfa55e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/de6865402a0e4c7abcbfa55e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/de6865402a0e4c7abcbfa55e","title":"Senior DevOps Engineer / Jira Platform Engineer","description":"Job Summary\n\nSajTech is seeking a *Senior DevOps Engineer / Jira Platform Engineer* to lead the administration, configuration, integration, and optimization of Jira within an enterprise environment.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with *Jira administration, Atlassian platforms, enterprise integrations, Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, REST APIs, scripting, and migration from Azure DevOps or similar platforms to Jira*.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Administer, configure, and optimize Jira for enterprise Agile and project management needs.\n* Design and maintain Jira workflows, issue types, screens, fields, automation rules, permissions, roles, and security schemes.\n* Manage Jira user growth, licensing, application usage, and governance.\n* Design and maintain integrations between Jira and enterprise platforms such as *GitLab and ServiceNow*.\n* Build integrations using *REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, Okta, and scripting*.\n* Automate data synchronization between planning, development, release, and operations platforms.\n* Troubleshoot and optimize integration pipelines for performance, security, and scalability.\n* Support migration from *Azure DevOps, GitLab, and existing Jira environments to Jira SaaS / Atlassian Government Cloud*.\n* Work with Agile teams to translate Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices into effective Jira configurations.\n* Support Agile reporting and metrics including velocity, burndown, and cycle time.\n* Develop technical documentation, standards, and best practices.\n* Provide technical guidance to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and engineering teams.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.\n* *3+ years of hands-on Jira administration or engineering experience.*\n* Strong Jira configuration and platform administration experience.\n* Hands-on experience developing integrations with *GitLab and ServiceNow*.\n* Strong experience with *REST API integrations*.\n* Proficiency in *Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript*.\n* Experience migrating from *Azure DevOps or similar platforms to Jira*.\n* Strong understanding of *Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe*.\n* Strong understanding of *DevSecOps principles and workflows*.\n* Strong troubleshooting, integration, and enterprise platform engineering skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n* Experience with *Atlassian Government Cloud*.\n* Experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, and Atlassian Marketplace applications.\n* DevSecOps or Platform Engineering experience.\n* Experience with security and compliance standards such as *FISMA, SOX, and FedRAMP*.\n* Federal government experience.\n* Atlassian certification such as *ACP-620, ACP-120, or equivalent*.\n\nImportant Requirements\n\n*U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
