The successful candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of algorithms, symbolic computation systems, data processing pipelines, and machine learning.\r\nDevelop computational and data-driven methods supporting research in algebraic geometry, computational algebra, and related areas of mathematics and scientific computing\r\nContribute to the design and implementation of algorithms, symbolic computation systems, data processing pipelines, and machine learning\r\nPerform other related duties as assigned\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\nBackground in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics\r\nStrong programming skills in Python and R\r\nBackground in algebraic geometry, computational algebra, and symbolic computation\r\nExperience with algorithm development and research\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nStrong programming skills in SQL and PyTorch\r\nFamiliarity with cloud computing, high-performance computing platforms and distributed computing environments\r\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration technologies\r\nExperience building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines, analytical workflows, and machine learning systems in production or research environments\r\nExperience with version control, testing, and software engineering best practices\r\nRequired Documents\r\nResume\r\nHiring Range\r\n$40.50 - $64.00 per hour\r\nThe salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.\r\nAs one of the largest employers in Pasadena, CA, Caltech is committed to providing comprehensive benefits to eligible employees and their eligible dependents.
