A leading, top brand publicly traded global company based in West Los Angeles is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Financial Reporting to join its Corporate Accounting organization.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing external financial reporting for multiple publicly traded entities.This role offers significant visibility, cross-functional exposure, and the opportunity to influence best-in-class financial reporting, controls, and process improvements across a global platform.**4 days/week hybrid in office**$235-$300K (base + full annual bonus)ResponsibilitiesOwn the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports for multiple public entities, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, registration statements, Section 16 filings, and earnings materials, utilizing the Workiva reporting platformLead cross-functional coordination with fund finance and accounting, legal, HR, investor relations, and other corporate finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent disclosuresPrepare and review U.S. GAAP financial statement disclosures and manage completion of GAAP disclosure checklistsReview roll-forwards, drafts, and final versions of SEC filings and related external communicationsCoordinate annual audits and quarterly reviews, serving as a primary point of contact for external audit firmsOversee tie-outs and quality control for earnings releases, SEC filings, board materials, and investor presentationsPerform technical accounting and disclosure research related to new standards, evolving SEC requirements, and complex or non-routine transactionsLead the development, coordination, and standardization of internal and external presentations across global finance teamsDrive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, technology, and process enhancementsEnsure a strong internal control environment and ongoing compliance with regulatory and reporting requirementsDevelop, mentor, and lead team members, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and professional growthQualificationsBachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in Accounting a plusCPA required10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) + industry with substantial SEC reporting exposureDeep understanding US GAAP and SEC reporting and disclosure requirementsHands-on experience with Workiva highly desirableExposure to Power BI or other business intelligence tools is a plusProven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
