These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).\nPositions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.\nPLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.\nThe duty station for this position is the BOR Pojoaque Field Office in Pojoaque, NM. Frequent local travel is required. Candidates must have their own personal transportation, valid driver license, and auto insurance. Mileage will be reimbursed at the standard IRS rate starting from the duty station.\nThis opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.\n\nQualifications:\n\nHS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 5 year(s) in Construction Inspection\nExperience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat\nDuties:\n\nDocument compliance status with contract schedules, specifications and shop drawings and reports potential noncompliance as directed. Completes daily field report. Enrollee does not approve, negotiate or make decisions; approvals and decisions remain with Reclamation officials.\nObserve and inspect construction to document compliance status and report or escalate as directed by Reclamation officials without supervising federal employee or contractors. Performs work as directed. 70%\nBecome familiar with contract requirements and safety requirements. 10%\nComplete daily field reports to document construction activities with a high level of detail. 20%\n\nOther:\n\nRequired Certifications: OSHA 35\nHealth and Safety Considerations: Reclamation Safety and Health Standards Training ? to be provided by Reclamation\nRequired Safety Gear: Hard hat, safety boots, protective glasses, hearing protection will be provided by Reclamation for inspection of construction sites\nSafety Gear Use: While on construction site\nPhysical requirements: Work requires frequent walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and frequently may require more than eight hours in a day. Work in adverse weather conditions is required.
