Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.\nJunior Software Engineer Responsibilities Include:\nApplying your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success.\nInteracting directly with customers and engineering personnel.\nSupporting Naval projects/programs operating in a DevSecOps environment using Atlassian and GitLab software tools.\nUtilizing and maintaining familiarity with tools such as Fortify, SonarQube, Jira, and Confluence.\nSupporting developers in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.\nPerforming analysis and problem-solving techniques in support of professional scientific/engineering work.\nWorking independently and with others within established teams, across organizations, to meet established goals within schedule-driven timelines.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent experience.\nMust have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.\nExperience with Atlassian and GitLab software tools.\nFamiliarity with Fortify, SonarQube, Jira, and/or Confluence.\nEffective communication skills.\nCandidates must maintain a valid driver’s license required for access to customer sites and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft, etc. are not permitted) as this position may require occasional travel between local worksites during the week.\nCompensation\nFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\n\nCompensation Details:\nUS: $80,000 to $100,000\n\nThe compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
