The Database Administrator will manage mission-critical Oracle and PostgreSQL databases supporting business operations, research, financial systems, and enterprise applications. The DBA will be responsible for administration, security, performance tuning, automation, and lifecycle management of enterprise databases across cloud and on-premises environments.\nThis is a position that is 100% onsite (5 days/week at the ONR in Arlington). This position requires a Secret clearance to be able to start work. US or Naturalized Citizenship are a requirement for eligibility.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdminister Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.\nMaintain database security and compliance through implementation of DISA STIGs and cybersecurity best practices.\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance, availability, and capacity.\nSupport database migrations, testing, production deployments, and change management activities.\nDevelop automation scripts using SQL, Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline administration and reporting.\nCreate and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and operational procedures.\nProvide Tier III support for database-related incidents and service requests.\nCollaborate with application developers, Linux administrators, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders.\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)\nThree or more years of experience administering Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.\nExperience with backup and recovery, performance tuning, patching, and database troubleshooting.\nExperience supporting Linux-based environments.\nKnowledge of security compliance frameworks and DISA STIG implementation\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environment\nExperience with AWS cloud services and hybrid cloud architectures.\nFamiliarity with WebLogic, SFTP automation, and enterprise application integrations.\nIndustry certifications such as Security+, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Linux+, or AWS certifications.\nActive Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.\nTIAG is an equal opportunity employer and federal contractor or subcontractor.
