The Shipping Coordinator processes domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper documentation and shipment methods.DutiesDetermines shipping methods, routes, or rates for products to be shipped. Works with carriers and freight forwarders on all ocean freight, air freight, and ground shipments.Prepares outbound shipments and completes compliance paperwork, such as, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and international trade agreement paperwork as required.Checks import or export documentation to determine cargo contents and uses tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or tariff group.Records shipment data, such as, weight, charges, space availability, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalency1 year of Shipping/Domestic and International Transportation experienceSkills & AbilitiesOperates a forklift to load/unload shipmentsUses hand and power tools to crate shipmentsUtilizes spreadsheet (Excel) and word processing (Word) software to prepare shipping documentationWork Schedule8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
