This role focuses on scalable backend engineering, DevOps best practices, and thoughtful system design to support performance and growth in modern distributed environments.\n\n*Key Responsibilities*\n\n* Design and implement scalable, well-documented software with strong performance and reliability characteristics\n* Build and enhance cloud infrastructure components and supporting services\n* Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional partners to drive engineering proposals and best practices\n* Define low-level implementation details, including data structures, code organization, and maintainable patterns\n* Recommend technical approaches that address scaling, performance, and architectural evolution\n* Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure high engineering standards\n* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members\n\n*Required Skills*\n\n* 5+ years of software development experience, including distributed systems and data-focused problem solving\n* Expert-level programming ability with strong attention to time/space complexity and maintainable design\n* Strong Python development experience\n* DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), testing, and automation\n* Hands-on experience implementing solutions on AWS (e.g., IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS)\n* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)\n\n*Education*\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience\n\n*Preferred Skills*\n\n* Proficiency in at least one strongly typed language (e.g., TypeScript, Java)\n* Knowledge of trade-offs across data storage systems and architectures (e.g., SQL vs. NoSQL, partitioning, data warehouses)\n* Demonstrated ability to generalize and reuse existing services and implementations\n* Strong ability to stay current on modern software engineering and data management practices\n\n*Why Should I Apply?*\nThis is an opportunity to work on complex, performance-sensitive systems while influencing engineering practices and scalable cloud architecture.
