As the Electrical Software & Systems Sub-Section Manager for the Intergalactic thermal systems team, the candidate will lead a team of electrical software and electrical systems engineers that design and develop products and technical solutions. The scope includes technical improvement of existing products and components as well as support for new business and product opportunities. The manager will provide significant input into the team's priorities and make decisions that impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the team's work.\r\nResponsibilities Lead the electrical engineering group supporting TMS products and serve as a best practice resource for the design process.\r\nDrive execution of NPI commitments and projects to be met on time and budget.\r\nLead high-level schedule and budget estimating activities related to TMS design projects.\r\nResource plan to meet customer and internal deliverables.\r\nCollaborate with Supply Chain teams on project expectations and execution.\r\nParticipate as a reviewer in technical and program reviews.\r\nProvide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned projects.\r\nMentor and give guidance to less experienced engineers.\r\nUse judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in design engineering.\r\nTake new perspective on existing solutions and use technical expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.\r\nUse multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.\r\nRequired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field from an accredited college or university.\r\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant software and systems engineering experience in aerospace or industrial products.\r\nMinimum of 5 years of people leadership / team leadership experience.\r\nDesired Characteristics Engineering project leadership experience.\r\nCustomer focused (communicating with and understanding needs).\r\nAbility to build relationships and work across a matrix organization.\r\nHigh level of engagement and energy.\r\nDemonstrated project management / resource management skills.\r\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\r\nCustomer service mindset with ability to adapt to change.\r\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.\r\nDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.\r\nAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs.\r\nLocation and Travel On-site in St. George, Utah.\r\nVisa Requirements GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas.
