Design Engineer

They are looking for a Design Engineer to lead component and system-level design efforts, supporting both new product development and enhancements to existing lines.Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through productionCreate detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD softwareCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibilityConduct design analysis, including tolerance stack-ups and material selectionSupport prototyping, testing, and validation effortsTroubleshoot design issues and implement corrective actionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives for product performance and cost optimizationRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3–6+ years of design engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD)Strong understanding of GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processesExperience taking products from concept to productionAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skillsNice to Have:Experience with FEA or simulation toolsExposure to DFMEA / DFM / DFA methodologiesBackground in industrial equipment, consumer products, or automotive componentsEOE Statement: TRC is an equal opportunity employer.
