Together, we challenge the status quo, have fun, and make a lasting impact.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nDevelop business strategies to raise our customer’s pool, expand store traffic, increase basket size and optimize profitability\nMeet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff\nEnsure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent customer service\nComplete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures\nMaintain outstanding store condition, plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays\nUpholds Daiso's standards for display presentation\nConduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths\nDeal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc)\nManaging the store, both retail and company, inventory, including loss prevention through theft and breakage\nTraining new employees and providing ongoing education for employees\nEffectively create store schedules to meet customer demand while meeting payroll targets\nCreate employee schedules, assign schedules and responsibilities to associates, checking to see if these assignments are carried through\nRecruiting, interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and offboarding poor-performing staff\n\nRequirements\n\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n1-3+ Years of Relevant Experience\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements\nProven experience as a retail manager or in other managerial position\nKnowledge of retail management best practices\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilities\nExcellent organizing and leadership skills\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nSeeing\nAbility to Travel\nCarrying (40 lbs)\nLifting (40 lbs)\nListening\nPersonal Skills\n\nTime Management\n\nJudgement/Decision Making\nStrong Communication Skills\nSales Experience\nAbility to Manage Others\nDriving Requirements\nDriving Required\n\n #IND2\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
