Job Description Salary: $25.00 - $30.00Working Title: Shop MechanicSupervisor: Equipment ManagerGeneral Description of Position: Repairs vehicles, equipment, and machinery located at our shop in south Austin.Essential functions and responsibilities listed below:Crawls under or climbs in or on vehicles or equipment for maintenance and repair inspectionsRepairs, removes, replaces moving parts and other components of vehicles, equipment or machineryDisassembles, repairs, removes, and replaces parts of engines, transmissions, drive assemblies, brakes, clutches of vehicles, equipment or machineryTunes, adjusts, regulates equipment engines, valves, pumps, carburetors and other mechanical components with variable settingLubricates and services vehicles, equipment or machinery and maintains accurate record of such serviceRequests repair parts and lubrication supplies as neededHelps workers of other crafts when not engaged in lubrication, service, maintenance and repair workWhen not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisorSpecific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate hand tools to repair equipment or machinerySafety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the companys safety policies and procedures as described in the companys safety manual.Other Requirements: Must have current valid drivers license and have a safe driving record.Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Experience and Training: Diesel experience desired, but we will train if needed, certificate from college or technical school; or twelve months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), ESOP, PTOJ.D.
