Facilities and Maintenance TechnicianHours: Up to 25 hours per weekWage/Salary: $15 per hourReports to: Facilities ManagerLocation: 3361 S Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981Job PurposeThe Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County takes changing the lives of youth to heart. The primary function of the Facilities and Maintenance Technician is to assist with facilities maintenance operations, including preventative and emergency maintenance.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Complete work orders as requested by Facilities Manager to include changing light bulbs, AC filters, painting, plumbing, light carpentry, fixing sheetrock, and other general maintenance duties as assignedAssist with maintenance of all areas of the facilities including grounds, fences, parking areas, ditches, community houses, furniture, appliances, and HVACAssist with maintenance of service equipment, power equipment, tools, and kitchen equipment as neededAssist with maintenance of preventative maintenance records on the facility and utilize work order systems to track all workAssist the Facilities Manager to conduct inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment as neededPromote the safety of members, visitors, and staff by identifying and resolving potential hazards.Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisorOther duties as assigned by managementActively participate in mandatory Club trainings and All Staff meetingsOccasionally may be required to work special events promoted by the organizationSupport other projects as neededCompletes any additional assignments as requested by the management staffQualificationsMust submit to and pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Department of Children & Families.High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.High-level functionality in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability are expected.Ability to use a wide range of maintenance equipment and tools (power tools, hand tools, etc.)Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality.Well-developed oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of safe work practices, including OSHA regulations, etc. is a plusSome travel may be required for training and/or other business purposes.Working ConditionsOur offices, neighborhood clubhouses, and school-based clubs are fast-paced work environments and are strategically located in areas of St. Lucie County where youth need us most. Based on the organization's needs, flexibility to work different schedules and work in different locations in St. Lucie County is required due to changing business demands.
