This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, with significant cross-functional collaboration across Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Tax.\r\nFaraday Future does not currently have a Corporate Controller, which represents a meaningful long-term career opportunity for the right candidate to grow into that role as the Company scales.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nFinancial Close & Consolidated Financial Statements\r\nOwn and manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion in accordance with US GAAP.\r\nPrepare, review, and maintain the consolidated financial statements, including management of consolidation journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translation adjustments.\r\nCollaborate with accounting teams in foreign subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely submission of subsidiary financial data for consolidation.\r\nDevelop and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reporting packages for the management and executive teams.\r\nServe as a primary point of contact with external auditors for the quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit, providing required documentation and reconciliations.\r\nSupport the Director of SEC Reporting and Director of Technical Accounting in preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings by ensuring the underlying general ledger data is accurate and reconciled.\r\nU.S. GL Team Leadership\r\nDirectly manage the U.S. general ledger accounting team, with approximately 2 direct reports and an overall team of 4–6 accounting professionals.\r\nSet clear performance expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and foster a collaborative, high-accountability team culture.\r\nEnsure appropriate workload distribution, redundant process coverage, and cross-training across all critical close and accounting operations.\r\nSAP & Accounting Systems\r\nLead ongoing accounting process improvement initiatives, with a focus on SAP module enhancements and optimization across key areas including: Order-to-Cash (OTC), Fixed Assets, Inventory Accounting, Consolidation, and Intercompany.\r\nPartner with IT and finance systems teams to evaluate, design, and implement SAP improvements that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls.\r\nMonitor emerging technologies and automation opportunities to modernize and scale accounting operations without sacrificing accuracy or accountability.\r\nInternal Controls & SOX Compliance\r\nOversee and drive SOX Section 404 implementation and compliance efforts for general accounting processes.\r\nIdentify opportunities to redesign and improve the operating effectiveness of controls through simplification, automation, and best-practice frameworks.\r\nEnsure a robust and documented process backup is maintained for every critical accounting operation.\r\nCross-Functional Collaboration\r\nCollaborate with the Tax Manager on income tax provision and domestic and international tax compliance matters, including support for statutory audits.\r\nPartner with FP&A on the close calendar, variance analysis support, and ensuring actuals are accurately reflected in financial planning tools.\r\nCoordinate with the Director of Technical Accounting on implementation of new accounting policies and standards that affect the general ledger and close process.\r\nWork with the Director of SEC Reporting to support preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules included in 10-K and 10-Q filings.\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.\r\n10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at a publicly traded company.\r\nDemonstrated experience owning the monthly and quarterly close process and consolidated financial statements.\r\nExperience managing and developing an accounting team.\r\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP, including consolidation, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.\r\nExperience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidation in a multinational organization.\r\nStrong process improvement mindset with the ability to drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\r\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills;
