You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options.\nJob Summary:\nAGS is looking for a Security Shift Sergeant to work in Tucson, AZ.\nAssists supervisory staff to ensure a team of armed and/or unarmed security guards provides protection of buildings, properties, other assets, and safeguards occupants and visitors during normal operations and special events. Serves as an advisor to the first line supervisors in regard to monitoring and directing staff as necessary, ensuring mandatory posts are always filled, performing compliance inspections, monitoring staff performance, and performing administrative tasks including timekeeping, and report tracking. Reviews paperwork work to ensure work completed is accurate, timely, professional, and in compliance with established regulations. Ensure coverage at all established security posts for each shift. Conducts audits of to ensure compliance to established procedures. Reviews, assists leadership in overseeing shift activities. Incubate must be in the Protective Services contracts.\nResponsibilities\nJob Responsibilities:\nPerforms compliance inspection, monitoring staff performance, and performing administrative tasks including verification of activities completed and reviews work to ensure work is accurate, timely, professional, and in compliance with established regulations.\nConducts audits of to ensure compliance of established procedures is maintained.\nEnsures all staff are properly equipped throughout shift for required task.\nAssists in managing staff incidents by reporting all infractions to the Supervisory Team and Project Management Office.\nResponds to any critical incident within the facility.\nMonitors facility security through use of roving patrols and internal site relocation asset.\nEnsures the security of the facility, shelter care residents, employees, and visitors by securing and protecting personnel and property.\nEnsures all posts are properly relieved as required for breaks.\nEnsures these responsibilities continue until relieved by the oncoming sergeant.\nImmediately report all violations of orders.\nGives the alarm in case of disorder or emergency. Then control and take charge of any situation within the job scope of security, until a higher authority arrives.\nReports, and if required to act takes reasonable counteraction to save life and property or lessen danger, on unusual events that threaten the security of the center, endangers life, or property.\nConducts physical and electronic surveillance in all areas of assigned responsibility.\nProvides site traffic control when required.\nMaintains checklists and checkpoints throughout assigned shift.\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\nMust have a H.S. Diploma or GED at minimum.\nMust be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.\nMust have a minimum of 6 months experience in armed or unarmed security/law enforcement/military related profession, either civilian or military.\nMust be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.\nMust have intermediate written English skills, including ability to prepare detailed written reports and fill out forms.\nMust have the ability to create and update basic digital logs and forms.\nMust possess be able to obtain and maintain a state security armed license.\nMust have a working knowledge of firearms and be found proficient by Sector Manager.\nMust be able to pass all training and obtain all required certifications for maintaining position.\nMust be able to pass a company background investigation to include criminal record check, drug test, credit report, driving record, and fingerprint checks with ability to maintain this through-out employment.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and able to maintain.\nMust meet client suitability checks and requirements.\nMust be able to pass and maintain a federal background investigation for clearance.\nBi-Lingual ability to speak and understand Spanish is considered a positive factor, not required.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
