At the center of this ecosystem are dealerships—trusted local businesses that help consumers navigate one of the most important purchases they make.\r\nToday, the industry is at an inflection point. Consumers expect the same speed, personalization, and convenience they experience in modern digital-first industries. At the same time, tighter margins and rising costs are driving a need for operational efficiency beyond what traditional software can support. Together, these shifts create a powerful opportunity to reimagine how dealerships deliver seamless experiences and build lasting customer relationships.\r\nDealers who modernize how they communicate and operate will unlock efficiency, deepen loyalty, and win long-term relationships. It is time to upgrade automotive retail to the 21st century.\r\nAbout Mia\r\nMia Labs is an investor-backed startup on a mission to modernize dealership operations and transform the automotive consumer experience. Our AI agent, Mia, turns every call or inquiry into an opportunity, improving customer satisfaction and dealership performance through automation that feels human. We are trusted by some of the nation's largest dealership groups and are rapidly scaling our team, product offerings, and customer base.\r\nAbout The Role\r\nWe're looking for a Senior Client Software Engineer to join our Client Solutions Engineering team. This is a high-ownership role that blends product engineering, integrations work, and hands-on client problem-solving. You'll build and maintain the systems that connect Mia to dealership platforms (DMS, service schedulers, CRMs), own production changes end-to-end, and occasionally sit across the table from dealer groups to launch and troubleshoot in real time.\r\nWhat You'll Do\r\nDesign, build, and ship features across our platform, including our third-party integrations and internal tooling that makes the rest of the company faster.\r\nOwn production changes end-to-end: scope the work in Jira, drive peer and lead review, and verify results in production.\r\nRespond to production alerts and incidents, diagnose root causes, and fix fast — all while keeping impacted clients informed.\r\nSupport dealer onboarding and launches: collaborate with Account Managers and dealer group personnel to set up integrations, make changes to phone systems, and test the product ahead of go-live.\r\nPartner directly with client-facing teams (sales, account management) as an escalation point — jumping on client calls when needed and helping teammates navigate tough technical conversations.\r\nRepresent engineering with clients: occasional on-site visits and presentations to dealer groups during pilots and rollouts.\r\nImprove how the team works — contribute to the creation and rollout of better procedures, safer change processes, and tooling that prevents mistakes rather than just fixing them.\r\nWhat We're Looking For\r\n5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python fundamentals and relational database experience (PostgreSQL preferred).\r\nExperience building and supporting third-party API integrations, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.\r\nComfort operating in a live-ops environment: on-call / alert response, careful change management, and verifying your own work.\r\nStrong communication skills — you can explain technical issues to non-technical clients and internal teams with patience and clarity.\r\nBias toward ownership: you follow issues through to resolution and keep stakeholders posted along the way.\r\nWillingness to travel occasionally for on-site client visits.\r\nUse AI to code — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent. This is how we work.\r\nNice to Have\r\nAutomotive retail / dealership software experience (DMS, service scheduling, CRM platforms).\r\nCloud infrastructure experience (Azure preferred).\r\nExperience with frontend development using TypeScript and React.\r\nExperience working with AI/LLM-based products, including prompt management workflows.\r\nWhy Mia\r\nEquity participation through stock options.\r\nFully paid health, vision & dental insurance for employees.\r\nFlexible PTO and hybrid schedule (3 days / week in downtown Austin).\r\nFree lunches, parking stipend provided, team events, and a casual, but get things done culture.\r\nCompensation\r\nCompensation for this position will be competitive with current market rates and reflective of the candidate's experience, skills and qualifications.\r\nOur Commitment\r\nAt Mia, we're committed to a workplace where everyone is valued, included, and empowered to do their best work. Our strength comes from diverse experiences, perspectives, and skills, and we're proud to be an equal opportunity employer.\r\nPassionate about the role but don't tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you, you might be exactly who we need.\r\nMia is an EVerify employer.\r\nJ-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Socket","rawCompany":"socket","city":"Austin","state":"TX","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-08T01:46:00.450Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1211.00","title":"Computer Systems Analysts","slug":"computer-systems-analysts"},{"code":"17-2141.02","title":"Automotive Engineers","slug":"automotive-engineers"}],"industries":[{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Senior Client Software Engineer","description":"The Opportunity\r\nThe $1.2T automotive industry is a pillar of American culture, representing nearly 5% of U.S. GDP and shaping how people live and move every day.
