Join the Snowflake team.\nThe Anti-abuse team at Snowflake is responsible for protecting Snowflake and our customers from abuse on the Snowflake platform. You will have the opportunity to help set the direction of the roadmap and build foundational security primitives while working closely with other teams at Snowflake.\nAs an Anti-Abuse Software Engineer, you will design and build necessary software solutions within a multi-cloud env. across a wide range of problem areas that proactively protect our platform and users from adversarial threats. You will build and scale solution and mitigation frameworks to combat fraud, account takeovers (ATO), data exfiltrations and AI security threats, tackling the most complex engineering challenges of Snowflake’s hyper-growth.\nWe’re at the forefront of the data revolution, committed to building the world’s greatest data and applications platform. Our ‘get it done’ culture allows everyone at Snowflake to have an equal opportunity to innovate on new ideas, create work with a lasting impact, and excel in a culture of collaboration.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, build, and scale security-by-default capabilities that protect Snowflake products across a complex multi-cloud environment.\nDevelop intelligent security platforms and services that leverage AI/ML and risk scoring to identify, prioritize, and respond to security threats and policy violations.\nBuild real-time detection and prevention systems to defend against account compromise, AI abuse, and data exfiltration through adaptive enforcement and granular policy controls.\nCreate security intelligence and monitoring capabilities that detect suspicious account activity, generate actionable insights, and enable timely response.\nPartner across other Security teams, Engineering, and Product to define security strategy, influence product design, and drive the adoption of secure engineering practices.\nRaise the engineering bar by setting standards for system design, code quality, operational excellence, and scalable security architecture within the Security Foundations organization.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of experience in software development working with one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, C++, Go.\nProficiency in Python, SQL, or a similar language for building detections and data pipelines.\nExperience designing, testing, and maintaining software solutions focused on security.\nExperience leading projects independently and setting technical direction.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMaster's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.\nExperience working with infrastructure from major cloud vendors (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)\nExperience with secure software development lifecycle or security primitives, including but not limited to static analysis, dynamic analysis, authentication and access management, DDoS or security scanning.\nEffective interpersonal and communication skills.\nWHY YOU SHOULD WORK FOR US:\nSnowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
