This individual will play a key role in supporting drug discovery and development efforts for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, and related complications. The role requires a strong background in in vivo pharmacology, laboratory techniques, and cross-functional collaboration.**Key Responsibilities:**- **In Vivo Experimentation:** Independently plan and execute in vivo experiments focused on preclinical characterization and evaluation of targets and pathways that regulate energy balance.- **Rodent Handling & Surgeries:** Perform routine rodent handling, dosing, and small animal surgeries, including parenteral routes of administration, stereotaxic surgeries, and tissue collection.- **Molecular & Biochemical Assessments:** Conduct molecular and biochemical assessments, including protein and RNA detection, Sanger sequencing, and fluorescence flow cytometry from ex vivo samples.- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work effectively within a team-oriented laboratory environment, collaborating with other scientists across various departments to achieve research objectives and department goals.- **Data Analysis & Reporting:** Maintain accurate records, analyze data independently, and communicate findings clearly through written reports and oral presentations.
