{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ddb1dc154b0f9b4994692d5b","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ddb1dc154b0f9b4994692d5b","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ddb1dc154b0f9b4994692d5b","title":"CNC Programmer and Set Up Operator","description":"This is a Direct Hire role with the employer\nFederal Contractor - must be US Citizen\nSetup Operator - CNC\nReports To: Shop Supervisor\nPurpose/Description\nSetup and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts which meet or exceed customer specifications working in a safe environment while contributing to a culture of constant process improvement and lean initiatives.\nJob Duties:\nOperate CNC, manual or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations including but not limited to milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding.\nMeasure parts for accuracy, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and attribute gages.\nMachine parts to specifications and or quality requirements using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.\nMeasure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.\nRecord production data thru out shift using MES system and various tracking forms.\nSimultaneously run multiple machines while maintaining expected quality levels.\nMaintain machine tools in proper operational condition verifying all fluids are replenished and coolant levels are within the acceptable range.\nCheck work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled.\nSeparate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal. Ensure that the disposal of scrap or waste material is in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.\nKeep work areas clean and free of obstruction including all company and personal property.\nEvaluate machining procedures and recommend to the appropriate team, changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.\nParticipate in lean team activities and training while working toward the common goal of constant process improvement\nSkills:\nTask focused and able to work regardless of distraction.\nAble to work continuously without supervision.\nAble to learn and retain new tasks.\nPosition Qualifications\nExperience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing environment with 3 years of setup.\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:\nMust be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic handheld measuring tools.\nPhysical Demands\nManual Dexterity Work requires few simple but rapid hand operations, requiring some closely coordinated hand to eye performance.\nPhysical Condition While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and lift. The employee is occasionally required to sit.\nWorking Conditions Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable, hearing protection is available.\nHazards Negligible.
