The Process Engineer works closely with the customer, program management and production personnel to improve design for manufacturability, as well as define, validate and implement processes to support the introduction of new products into a lean manufacturing environment.\nThe Process Engineer will report to the Engineering and Manufacturing Technology Manager.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nEvaluates customer drawings and data for labor quotation and documentation creation.\nPerforms design for assembly (DFA) and design for fabrication (DFF) analysis of product designs using Valor, communicate and mange analysis results and solutions to our suppliers (EMS) and internal design teams to influence quality and manufacturability.\nSupports the Lean culture and effectively use Lean Sigma concepts and tools to identify and eliminate waste while improving processes.\nIdentifies, improves, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, process capability and product quality.\nLeads the development of design documentation, materials and designs for Manufacturability.\nStreamlines manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions to improve first pass yield, eliminate rework and scrap, standardize and reduce SMT setup and waste.\nMonitors SMT process and establishes robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters and process controls.\nProvides guidance, direction, and coordination to the technical staff thereby contributing to improvement of skill levels, quality standards, process improvements, problem solving abilities, and continued technical development through education to achieve the six-sigma SMT processing level.\nDesigns and orders solder paste stencils.\nProvides labor quotes to program management for new products.\nCreates panelization drawings for quoting as well as new product introductions.\nAssists in lean manufacturing initiatives.\nEnters assembly bills of material (BOM) in MRP system from customer BOM.\nWrites and implements Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).\nWrites and distributes Temporary Deviation Notices (TDN's).\nParticipates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequirements:\nDesign for manufacturability DFM for electronic assemblies.\nExpert knowledge of IPC 610, IPC J-Standard 001.\nKnowledge in Lean Manufacturing methods with an electronics products manufacturer.\nKnowledge in using MFG ERP software or similar manufacturing software.\nStrong thorough knowledge of DFM, NPI, Pin-in-Paste, PoP processes, reporting and tools.\nKnowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment and be familiar with commonly used CAD, email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets.\nCommunication interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.\n6+ years of demonstrated experience in SMT process engineering.\nMust be able to read and understand PCA assembly drawings and technical notes.\nMust be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and demonstrate the ability to determine critical parameters and develop process controls.\n5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment with SMT knowledge.\nExperience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry desired.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. in an 8 hour shift.\nBe able to perform light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature.\nManual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials.\nSoftware Used:\nMicrosoft Office\nCAD Software\nERP/MRP\nEducation:\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.).\nSeniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level\nEmployment type Employment type Full-time\nJob function Job function Manufacturing\nIndustries Staffing and Recruiting and Electrical Equipment Manufacturing\nReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Zobility by 2x\nInferred from the description for this job Medical insurance\nVision insurance\n401(k)\nGet notified about new Process Engineer jobs in Suwanee, GA .\nNorcross, GA $100,000.00-$130,000.00 4 days ago\nIndustrial Engineer – Aerospace Process Optimization Process Improvement Engineer / Aerospace Senior Process Engineer -
