Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications typically associated with this role:\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Management: Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.\nTechnical Oversight: Supervise the engineering team in the design and analysis of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.\nCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to facilitate project success.\nRisk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical and project-related challenges.\nDocumentation: Ensure thorough documentation of project specifications, design changes, and compliance reports.\nQualifications\nEducation: A bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is often preferred.\nExperience: Several years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on project leadership.\nSkills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in engineering software, and excellent communication abilities.\nCertifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications may be advantageous.\nAdditional Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing.\nStrong program management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering.\nAbility to work independently and lead teams effectively.\nExperience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders.\nLocal to the Phoenix, Arizona area.
