We are a creative studio that loves branding and design for both web and print.\n\nJob Description\n\nWashington Media Services (WMS) is looking for a full-time full stack web developer/graphic designer with a keen sense of design and strong technical skills. Upon hire, the successful candidate will design and develop simple to complex websites. The candidate must be able to develop websites by-hand, not with the assistance of WYSIWYG editors.\nThe successful candidate will also be involved with print projects ranging from brochures, business stationary, newsletters, annual reports, billboards, etc. An understanding of print production is a plus.\nPlease note that we are a tobacco and drug-free office and follow federal regulations.\nA design and technical test will be required.\n\nQualifications\n\nXHTML/HTML5/CSS3\nStrong graphic design/typography skills and UX experience.\nLatest Adobe Creative Suite Programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver)\nExperience with mobile design a plus\nPHP\njQuery\nJava/Java Script\nWordPress/WordPress Theme Development\nDatabase/SQL\nOnline Form Development\nMicrosoft Office\nA successful candidate will also:\nBe a team player\nBe able to multitask\nStrong proofing/editing skills\nAbility to react well to design direction from Creative Director and clients\nHave a willingness to learn\nHave strong writing and grammatical skills\nHave strong communication skills\nExhibit professionalism\nBe comfortable troubleshooting various issues, technical or otherwise\nBe comfortable interacting with clients and answering the phone\nAlways be on-time\nPass a drug test and background check\nProvide a valid driver’s license\n\nAdditional Information\n\nOur hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (excludes major holidays).
