Job Description JOB SUMMARY: They are responsible for completing the daily production schedule and ensuring optimal quality for all work completed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: o Work directly with operator on technical improvements and efficiencyo Provide constant support where neededo Accountable for good attendance and punctualityo Inform management of quality issues and problems in departmento Assist with in-process inspection company-wideo Complete job travelerso Processing Competencies: Rack, De-Rack, Etch, Chem Film, Anodize (Type I, II, III, 1C)o Inspection Competencies: Thickness gage, Micrometer (ID, OD), Bore gage, and CaliperFollow all safety policies and proceduresReceiving Inspection: Count, Visual Inspection, Completion of Previous Operations, etc.Maintain a clean and organized department (daily)Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, work instructions, and job traveler with a high level of quality to achieve part conformityComplete orders in accordance with the production scheduleComplete all necessary processing paperwork with accuracyEnsure 100% quality and on-time delivery for customer ordersPerform in-process inspectionsParticipate in corrective actions and support troubleshooting of discrepanciesParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesWork overtime/ weekends as needed to support customer needs REQUIRED SKILLS:o Ability to read and write Englisho Legible handwritingo Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneouslyo Basic sketch and blueprint reading skillso Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages)o Detail-orientedo Team playero Positive, can-do attitude with excellent attendance and punctualityo Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training periodo Basic understanding of Lean skills and efficiency methodso Excellent communication skillso Basic computer skillso Basic mathematical skills REQUIRED SKILLS:o Bilingual (English/Spanish) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:o Ability to stand and/or walk on your feet for extended periods of timeo Must pass a drug test and criminal background checko Ability to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:o On-the-job trainingCompany DescriptionHixson Metal Finishing is a premier metal finishing company whose vision is rooted in excellence, integrity, and accountability.
