Drive the optimization of our current data ecosystem, design scalable and secure data solutions, and define a forward-looking architecture that enables innovation and competitive advantage. Translate strategic vision into actionable architecture through clear articulation, proof-of-concepts, technical reviews, and hands-on guidance. Serve as a champion and mentor teams on best practices, introduce modern data principles, and ensure our data platforms support analytics, AI-driven insights, and evolving business needs.\n\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate with other Engineers and Architects to define the enterprise data architecture roadmap.\nDrive the design and optimization of OLTP and OLAP models for scalability, performance, and maintainability.\nEstablish standards for data modeling, storage, and integration across systems.\nPartner with other key stakeholders within engineering in developing a comprehensive data and BI strategy aligned with business objectives.\nDefine data governance practices, data access control, compliance, and quality standards.\nLead proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new data technologies and frameworks.\nOwn the architectural review process and guidance to development teams on data-related projects.\nEstablish and ensure best patterns and practices for ORM usage (Entity Framework and others) and SQL optimization, according to business needs.\nEvaluate and recommend where AI/ML can enhance data-driven decision-making.\nStay current with modern data engineering trends, cloud-native architectures, and big data platforms.\nActively participate and take ownership of Data Architecture artifacts via ADR process.\nDrive AI adoption by introducing and guiding teams in leveraging AI capabilities within the data engineering space to enhance internal efficiency, innovation, and decision-making in everyday workflows.\nLiaison between technology and product teams assisting teams in translating business requirements into tangible architectures that meet business needs now in and in the future.\nDesign data architectures that accurately reflect and support evolving complex product and business processes and are required by our customer base.\nLead data architecture initiatives, collaborating with cross functional teams, from concept through implementation, including governance and quality frameworks.\nIdentify opportunities for predictive analytics and advanced modeling.\nSupport and promote the company values through positive required.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant professional experience.\n10+ years of relevant professional experience in architecting Enterprise Data and Business Intelligence solutions.\nProven experience designing and optimizing large-scale data warehouse implementations for multiple business units, with a deep understanding of polyglot environments.\nAbility to architect scalable, high-performance solutions supporting analytical and operational workloads, including query optimization and index management.\nAbility to clearly articulate data architecture concepts, build consensus among stakeholders, and guide the organization toward scalable, well-governed solutions that deliver measurable business value.\nExpertise in modern data architectures (e.g., Medallion, Data Lakehouse, MDM, DataMesh, Streaming) and dimensional modeling architectural patterns (StarSchema, Snowlake, etc.)\nProficiency in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Databricks) and integration with diverse data sources.\nDeep understanding of visualization and reporting platforms for service analytics (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)\nAbility to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models using the appropriate database technology (SQL, noSQL, Graph, etc.) based on workload characteristics, scalability needs and data access patterns.\nFamiliarity with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework.\nSkilled in building robust ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data quality (validation, profiling, cleansing) and timeliness (experience with tools like FiveTran, dbt, Rivery is a plus).\nExpertise in data governance frameworks, security, compliance, and stewardship.\nExperience with DataOps, including CI/CD for data workflows, pipeline observability, data quality practices, etc.\nAwareness of emerging AI technologies and their implications for data architecture, including considerations for data governance, model training, code generation, and integration of machine learning and generative AI into enterprise data ecosystems.\nInterest and ability in mentoring and/or training other team members as applicable.\nExperience working cross-functionally and promoting collaborative partnerships to drive results.\nProven ability to communicate effectively to various audiences/levels, both internal and external stakeholders, including leadership through various mediums.\nAbility to present and convey material both formally and informally to all levels of an organization.\nProven organization skills with the ability to address short-term and long-term demands simultaneously.\nEasily adaptable with the ability to pivot with changing business needs, keeping a professional demeanor and leading by processes.\n\nSalary Range\n\nThe base salary for this position is $170,000 - $200,000 annually.
