Candidates must live within 30 miles of a major airport and be willing to drive to neighboring states for frequent onsite childcare center visits.Job Overview:The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced District Manager to support franchise childcare centers across the Kansas City region and surrounding markets. This field-based leadership role focuses on protecting brand standards, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance within licensed childcare environments.The District Manager partners closely with franchise owners and center leadership teams to improve enrollment, financial performance, quality outcomes, and team development. The ideal candidate has experience leading teams in regulated childcare or compliance-driven environments and thrives in a high-travel, relationship-focused role.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a field leader and brand ambassador, ensuring centers consistently meet company standards and operational expectationsAct as a trusted business consultant to franchise owners, providing guidance on operations, staffing, enrollment growth, and quality improvementExecute district strategies to improve enrollment, retention, productivity, and center performanceAnalyze enrollment trends and profit and loss statements to identify operational improvement opportunitiesCommunicate and train on new initiatives, systems, and operational updates to drive engagement and consistencyEnsure compliance with standard operating procedures, franchise agreements, and state childcare licensing regulationsPartner with Marketing to evaluate enrollment trends and implement district action plansSupport centers with licensing, hiring, staff training, and new center openingsBuild strong, trust-based relationships with franchise owners, center leaders, and corporate partnersResearch and share performance data and best practices to support talent attraction and customer retentionProactively identify challenges, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when appropriateContinuously work to improve performance across the district and the broader organizationQualifications:Experience leading teams in a licensed or compliance-driven childcare environment preferredProven experience as a multi-unit operator, district leader, or franchise consultantStrong understanding of state childcare licensing frameworks and regulatory complianceDemonstrated ability to analyze profit and loss statements and operational metricsBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting toolsStrong communication, coaching, and project management skillsExceptional interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work a flexible full-time schedule, including occasional weekends or holidaysWillingness and ability to travel approximately 85 percentReliable transportation required; fixed and variable car allowance included in compensationWhy Apply:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefitsHigh-impact leadership role with visibility across multiple statesOpportunities for professional growth and advancementJoin a mission-driven organization dedicated to excellence in early childhood education
