The ideal candidate will lead the analysis, design, and contract document development for major transportation structures. Project Management experience is a plus, but not required and internal management training will be provided.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead the design and development of bridge and other structure projects\nConduct detailed structural analysis and design calculations\nPrepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects\nManage project budgets and schedules\nMentor and supervise the work of junior engineers and technicians\nProvide on-site inspection and construction management services\nStay up to date with the latest bridge engineering technologies and design methodologies\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required, Master of Science with a focus in Structural Engineering preferred\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in bridge engineering\nProgressive experience in design and construction of bridges\nExperience in the development of demolition plans and specifications is a plus\nStrong knowledge of AASHTO, AREMA, State Design Manuals and Standards\nExperience using industry-standard software such as MicroStation v8i, OpenBridge, AutoCAD, STAAD, LARSA 4D, Midas, MDX, AASHTOWare\nStrong technical writing and communication skills\nNY PE license is required\nExperience in a lead role in bridge design, construction, and maintenance projects\nExperience working on Design Build projects is a plus but not required\nExperience working with the MTA, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, or NYCDOT is a plus but not required\nPassion for the field of structural engineering\nWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and advancement.
