The ideal candidate will have true controllership experience, strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills, and QuickBooks Online experience.\nThe Controller role is a hybrid position. This is direct hire position.\nController Responsibilities\nLead all accounting and financial management activities for the organization.\nOversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow forecasting.\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.\nDevelop forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to support business decisions.\nInvestigate financial variances, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.\nPartner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and financial performance.\nMonitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational and financial stability.\nSupport year-end close activities and coordinate with external accounting and tax partners.\nOversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and financial controls.\nManage banking relationships, insurance partners, and other external financial stakeholders.\nReview customer credit applications and monitor customer credit exposure.\nSupport inventory management activities and oversee annual inventory processes.\nPrepare and process financial transactions, including payroll-related activities and vendor payments.\nSupport retirement plan reporting and employee benefit administration activities.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.\nLead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.\nManage, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.\nProvide financial data, reporting, and KPI analysis to support operational leaders.\nController Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n5-7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.\n2-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.\nProven controllership experience, including general ledger oversight, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.\nStrong ability to analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify root causes of financial and operational issues.\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to make recommendations based on financial data and trends.\nCost accounting experience.\nStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial statement preparation.\nExperience overseeing month-end and year-end close processes.\nExperience managing inventory-related accounting processes is preferred.\nExperience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.\nExperience working with ERP systems and accounting software.\nWorking knowledge of Plex is preferred.\nStrong leadership, communication, and team development skills.\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\n--------------------------------------\nUHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
