The employee will support the quality assurance team with part layouts and inspections, requiring knowledge of GD&T and print reading, and will complete welding assemblies to customer requirements.\n\n The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial setting, with AWS Certification and the ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T notation. Experience with robotic welders and troubleshooting builds using CMM reports are critical factors in this role.\n\n Responsibilities:\n\nSet up and weld – Set up and use MIG/TIG welding equipment to weld basic GTAW and GMAW mild steel joints.\nAssemble welded products – Assemble exhaust assemblies, racks, and prototyping fixtures.\nPerform 1st piece layouts – Perform 1st piece table layouts and troubleshoot builds using CMM reports to get a good first piece.\nMaintain job documentation – Maintain accurate job documentation for all production runs.\nLoad and run robot welder – Load and run robot welder in auto and make needed repairs on assemblies after robot.\nInvestigate and correct issues – Investigate and correct issues that are found during a build and/or inspection of an assembly.\nEnsure products meet requirements – Ensure that products shipped meet internal and customer requirements per CMM reports, blueprints, and AWS specifications.\nOther duties as assigned – Perform other duties as assigned by the Welding Manager.\n\n Requirements:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED; vocational training preferred\nAWS Certification required\n\n About Technique, Inc.:\n\n Technique, Inc. is a Michigan-based precision sheet metal and welded assembly’s manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, automotive, motorsports, medical, and food processing industries.
