You’ll inspect and operate mixer trucks, evaluate concrete consistency, and ensure loads meet required specifications. This role requires a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and high-quality service while working in various outdoor conditions throughout the year.Job DutiesDeliver ready mix concrete to job sites in accordance with safety and quality standardsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections using a tabletEvaluate concrete consistency and adjust as neededMaintain cleanliness of mixer truck using water hoses, scrapers, and brushesDemonstrate strong customer service skills on every job siteComplete and collect customer signatures on delivery tickets, waivers, and paymentsExercise sound judgment for safe worksite access, unloading, and maneuveringFollow turn-by-turn directions via tabletUtilize PPE in designated areas (steel-toed shoes, hard hat, eye/ear protection)Track truck hours; grease equipment as required (every 100 hours)Assist with chipping hardened concrete from drums (as applicable by plant)Participate in plant maintenance (cleaning, organization, equipment upkeep)Support general yard cleanliness including sweeping and debris removalRead and acknowledge weekly Safety Data SheetsEngage in ongoing safety and communication updatesWork EnvironmentWorking in outdoor weather conditions.Work near moving machinery and equipment.Work alongside moving traffic on roads.Physical RequirementsLift objects of various dimensions and weights up to 50-100 lbs.Ability to climb stairs and ladders, reach squat, push, and pull objects.Frequent Sitting.Carrying/Lifting to 100 pounds.Standing / Walking / Climbing.Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending.Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.Experience & QualificationsMust possess a Class B or A CDL license with air brake endorsement.Maintain an active DOT qualification.Minimum 2 years prior driving experience required; will train drivers in Ready-Mix procedures.Ability to perform well in a \"Team\" environment.Self-motivator and must be flexible to accommodate the client's needs, schedule variations may occurSummaryThe County Materials Family of Companies connects candidates with rewarding careers in concrete manufacturing, an industry that’s growing faster than most.
