The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure assigned projects and initiatives are deployed effectively, and comply with relevant laws, regulations and SPX requirements. The Corporate EHS Program Manager plays a key technical role in identifying hazards, improving safety systems, supporting sustainable environmental practices, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The position reports to the Corporate Director, EHS.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProject Management\n\nFacilitate implementation of established corporate environmental, health and safety programs and initiatives.\n\nBuild partnerships and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders to implement projects effectively.\n\nWork closely with consultants and vendors, to ensure efficient project implementation.\n\nEffectively communicate and track deadlines and schedules as required.\n\nWork with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deadlines and budgets.\n\nManagement System\n\nProvide business unit and facility level assistance in the implementation of EHS management systems.\n\nAssist in supporting SPX EHS management system initiatives and objectives.\n\nProvide guidance on SPX corporate EHS applications and resources (VelocityEHS, SharePoint, etc.)\n\nMonitor metrics, prepare reports on KPI’s and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.\n\nPolicies and Programs\n\nProvide input on existing SPX EHS standards, procedures, guidelines, and reference tools.\n\nProvide business unit and facility-level technical assistance on corporate initiatives, regulatory trends/changes and EHS standards, practices and procedures.\n\nAssist in developing and conducting training seminars, meetings and conferences.\n\nParticipate in the implementation of the corporate audit program (third-party and internal processes).\n\nProvide guidance to sites in developing and implementing improvement plans.\n\nEnvironmental Sustainability\n\nProvide support in organizing and preparing an annual sustainability report.\n\nAssist in facilitating environmental sustainability related metrics tracking.\n\nAssist in driving established environmental sustainability projects and initiatives.\n\nAcquisitions and Divestitures\n\nProvide support in carrying out due diligence activities as directed.\n\nAssist with activities to limit risk related to plant closures/plant moves/plant expansions, etc.\n\nProvide support with onboarding and integration of newly acquired businesses and personnel.\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\n\nDemonstrate understanding of environmental, health and safety laws and regulations.\n\nExperienced in addressing a wide range of EHS matters.\n\nDemonstrate ability to manage multiple projects effectively.\n\nDemonstrate technical and regulatory project management experience.\n\nMust be able to make decisions using ethical reasoning and sound judgement.\n\nDemonstrate ability to negotiate and manage conflicts to satisfactory resolution.\n\nAbility to influence operating management to implement Corporate EHS programs.\n\nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding.\n\nMust be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.\n\nExhibit a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.\n\nWork well under pressure with the ability to deliver on time.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\nProficient in EHS software applications, analyzing and reporting data, KPI’s, etc.\n\nAbility to travel > 25% to manufacturing facilities.\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in EHS, engineering or related field with EHS management emphasis.\n\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a related position, preferably some experience in a corporate environment or managing multiple locations.\n\nExperience with a wide range
