Radiation Therapist Location: Las Cruces, NM Salary Range: $75K to $93K (based on experience) Relocation Package: Partial assistance provided (up to $10k) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to join our team and provide exceptional care in delivering prescribed radiation therapy treatments. The ideal candidate will be certified by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy (ARRT), with at least 3 years of experience in Radiation Therapy. Key Responsibilities Simulate treatment setups as instructed by the physician. Perform dosimetric calculations under the guidance of a physicist or dosimetrist, either manually or through computerized systems. Deliver the prescribed radiation therapy accurately and safely. Assist with Brachytherapy procedures. Conduct warm-ups of treatment machines and simulators, ensuring all safety protocols and operational checks are followed. Monitor and verify laser positioning to ensure accurate alignment. Verify radiation doses using barometer and thermometer measurements, reporting discrepancies to the physicist. Promote continuous professional development and support department-based goals. Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program. Licenses/Certifications: Certified as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiation Therapy (ARRT). CPR certification is required.
