Varda also has offices in Washington, DC and Huntsville, AL.\r\nJoin Varda, and work to create a bustling in-space ecosystem.\r\n \r\nAbout This Role\r\nAs an Integration and Test Engineer, you will have a broad role scope owning vehicle systems, integration, and test. Ultimately, engineers are responsible for the vehicle and ensuring all systems are ready for launch and operations. To accomplish this, engineers need knowledge of system design, manufacturing, test, and operations. This role interfaces with all engineering departments and Integration and Test Engineers must be able to drive conflicting requirements to implemented solutions. \r\nResponsibilities\r\n\r\nDevelop and own the vehicle integration and test campaign to validate and verify vehicle flight readiness \r\nOwn vehicle technical and programmatic decisions to ensure vehicle success \r\nCreate, maintain, and execute build and test procedures \r\nCreate and maintain build schedules to drive delivery of flight components, ground support equipment, and software readiness \r\nMaintain vehicle system budgets (power, mass, telemetry, etc) and ensure the tools output relevant information for all teams \r\nEvaluate vehicle change impacts and drive execution of change implementation  \r\nOwn avionics systems, schematics, and harness design\r\nOperate vehicles in space \r\n\r\nBasic Qualifications\r\n\r\nB.S. degree in engineering, physics, or related field and 1+ years of experience (internships & projects included) in systems, integration, and/or test \r\nTeamwork, communication, and problem solving in a collaborative environment \r\nStrong first principles thinking and technical breadth across relevant fields (electrical, mechanical, software, etc.) \r\nHands-on experience building aerospace vehicles \r\nMust be physically able to regularly lift 25 lbs.  \r\nMust be comfortable bending, stooping, and standing \r\nHands-on position may require standing and working directly with hardware on the floor \r\n\r\nPreferred Skills and Experience\r\n\r\nWorking knowledge of aerospace vehicle subsystems \r\nExperience with project management of the full lifecycle of a project \r\nCapability to solve complex problems autonomously as an individual or as a member of an integrated team. \r\nExperience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as C++ & Python\r\nExperience with aerospace hardware development practices (e.g., qualification testing practices, design for typical space environments, cleanliness, etc.)  \r\nPrior work in a technical leadership role for a launch vehicle or satellite development effort \r\nExperience supporting flight test or flying spacecraft \r\nExperience in propulsion systems, integration, and/or test \r\nExperience in a production environment \r\nWiring schematic, harness design, and harness manufacturing experience \r\nUnigraphics NX experience or similar CAD software \r\n\r\nPay Range\r\n\r\nSalary Range: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00/per year\r\nThis role is on-site in El Segundo, CA\r\nLeveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance\r\nYou will be eligible for incentives in the form of stock options and/or long-term cash awards\r\n\r\n \r\nITAR Requirements\r\n\r\nVarda, like all employers, must ensure that its employees working in the United States are lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.  Additionally, our employees are exposed to and have access to certain export-controlled items.
