Think Airbnb — but for school facilities and the communities around them.The RoleWe're looking for a Founding Engineer/CTO Contractor to take full technical ownership of the Subler platform and lead it into its next version. This is a 3-6 month, project-based contract with the opportunity for real equity upside. You'll work directly with the Founder to stabilize the product, ship critical features, and build out a scalable web and mobile experience.This role is 60% hands-on engineering and 40% technical leadership. If you're a senior full-stack engineer who wants to own a product end-to-end — and you're motivated by mission-driven work — this is worth a conversation.What You'll OwnDrive development of the next version of the web marketplace and mobile apps (iOS + Android)Implement 6 high-priority features requested by early customersTech StackNextJS, React Native, Mantine, JavaScript, Node.js, AWS (EC2, RDS/MySQL, S3), Stripe, Nylas, BrevoWhat We're Looking ForMust-haves:Strong full-stack engineering background (front-end and back-end)Active use of AI tooling to accelerate developmentAbility to own the entire product lifecycle independentlyClear, direct communicator — English fluency requiredNice-to-haves:Experience with product requirements gatheringEarly-stage startup backgroundTeam leadership or mentorship experienceCompensation$500–$1,000/month for an initial 3-month engagement (15–20 hrs/week). After a mutual 90-day review, top performers will have the opportunity to negotiate an equity stake of 20–25% with a vesting schedule, and a path to a future full-time opportunities.
