What you’ll do Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their purchases. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately. Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring all cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while restocking shelves and merchandising products as needed. Demonstrate loyalty program to customers, enhancing their shopping experience through savings. Upsell items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive customer interaction. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations. Basic qualifications Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Preferred qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering roles is highly desirable. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with convenience store and gas stations operations and merchandising techniques is beneficial. Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
