This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with technical leadership and end users, taking features from initial problem definition through to production deployment.You’ll be responsible for:Building and shipping full-stack web applications used by real customersDeveloping backend services, APIs and data workflowsDesigning intuitive, polished interfacesBuilding AI agents and integrating LLM APIsWorking directly with customers to gather feedback and improve the productContributing to technical architecture and engineering standards as the team growsWhat We’re Looking ForAround 2–8 years of professional software engineering experienceStrong experience with React, Next.js and PythonExperience building AI agents or integrating LLM APIs into production applicationsA track record of shipping full-stack products end-to-endExperience within a Seed to Series B startup, or clear product ownership within a leading technology companyStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with customersA proactive, resourceful approach suited to an early-stage environmentGenuine interest in government, defence or national-security technologyExperience with data pipelines or large-scale web scraping is desirablePrevious government or defence experience is desirableAn active security clearance is desirableA strong computer science degree is preferred, although equivalent practical experience will be consideredWhat’s in It for You?Significant ownership within a small, high-calibre engineering teamDirect exposure to technical and product leadershipThe opportunity to build applied AI products solving meaningful real-world problemsBase salary of $200,000–$250,000Meaningful equityStrong progression as the company scalesThis is a full-time, five-day on-site role in San Francisco or Washington, DC, with periodic travel to customer locations.
