Supportive Housing Coordinator

Job Summary A nonprofit organization supporting Permanent Supportive Housing programs across Los Angeles County is hiring a Permanent Housing Coordinator, also referred to as a Resident Services Coordinator, to help residents access services, build stability, and strengthen community connections. This is a meaningful direct hire opportunity for someone who is passionate about social services, housing stability, community engagement, and helping individuals and families thrive. In this role, you will work closely with residents, service providers, and internal teams to coordinate resources, support program participation, and promote a safe, inclusive living environment. The team offers a purpose-driven work environment with supportive leadership, structured training, and the opportunity to make a direct impact in underserved communities. Candidates should be comfortable initially training and working from the Downtown Los Angeles location before potentially transferring to Baldwin Park, West Los Angeles, or Carson as additional locations open. Key Responsibilities - Conduct resident needs assessments, facilitate community meetings, and identify service needs for individuals and families in Permanent Supportive Housing. - Connect residents to healthcare, employment support, public assistance, social services, and other community-based resources. - Develop and coordinate resident programs, social activities, and engagement initiatives that improve quality of life and build community. - Partner with local service providers to bring resources, workshops, and support services on-site. - Maintain accurate case notes, service documentation, program records, and reporting in alignment with compliance standards. - Support conflict resolution, crisis response, confidentiality, and a safe, respectful living environment for residents. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity. - Pay rate is $21.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience. - Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. - Initial training will take place at the Downtown Los Angeles location. - Candidates must be comfortable working from the Downtown Los Angeles location for a minimum of 1 month and potentially up to 6 months before transfer to Baldwin Park, West Los Angeles, or Carson, depending on site openings and staffing needs. - Permanent openings are also available in Downtown Los Angeles.
