Supports production and efficient machine operation under direct supervision. Familiar with standard assembly concepts, practices, and procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAlign, fit, and assemble component parts into completed units, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates.\n\nPrepare fiber optic cable for fiber polishing and complete the polishing process to specifications.\n\nVerify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.\n\nExamine parts for defects, repairs, reworks, and calibrate assemblies to meet operational tolerances.\n\nPrepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.\n\nPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.\n\nMaintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\n\nKey Competencies & Skills Required\n\nHigh degree of dexterity.\n\nFamiliar with following travelers and standard operating procedures and follows basics of assembly drawings under direct supervision.\n\nExperience using microscopes to inspect products and ensure the highest standard of quality.\n\nDue to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, or individuals granted asylum or refugee status) will be considered for this position.\n\nSalary Range\n$25.00–$30.00 per hour.
