This role involves constructing and assembling new sand plants, as well as performing comprehensive maintenance and repair on all associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various maintenance operations, adhere to safety regulations, and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nConstruction & Assembly:\nConstruct and assemble new sand plants.\nEnsure timely and effective maintenance and repair of all equipment within these plants.\nMaintenance Operations:\nPerform maintenance tasks including welding, mechanical repairs, electrical work, plumbing, hydraulic repairs, boiler maintenance, and air system servicing.\nAdhere to technical specifications and safety regulations while carrying out maintenance duties.\nEquipment Maintenance:\nMaintain equipment such as: feed systems, conveying systems, scrubber systems, shaker systems, classifying systems, discharge hopper systems, weigh systems, central mixer systems, load carrying systems, drive systems, water systems, air systems, electrical systems, crusher systems, hydraulic systems, recycling systems, structural systems, and other miscellaneous equipment.\nInspection & Reporting:\nConduct inspections of equipment as per the company’s Prescribed Inspection Schedule.\nComplete and submit detailed equipment inspection reports.\nSafety & Compliance:\nComply with all safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.\nConduct work in alignment with Federal and State mining laws, as well as Company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.\nRequirements:\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n3 years welding/mechanical experience, sand and or aggregate plant experience a plus.\nKnowledge of using an arc welder and cutting torch.\nKnowledge of the components of sand plants such as (conveyor belt repair, gear boxes, bearings, structural welding and repair, trunnions, baghouses, elevators, silos, loadout spouts, slurry and freshwater pumps, wet and dry sand screens.\nTechnical skills required- Ability to do basic math and read a tape measure, safely rigging/ lifting heavy objects, problem solving, sheave and pulley alignment, conveyor belt tracking and alignment, no issues with heights, ability to work in hot and cold environments.\nSome heavy equipment operation (Skid Steer, Telehandler, Track hoe/ Backhoe)\nMust have current drivers license and clean MVR\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in diesel mechanics is preferred.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS?& SENSORY REQUIREMENTS??\nAbility to lift heavy objects and equipment (up to 50 pounds).\nAbility to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods.\nAbility to work in various weather conditions and environments, including indoors and outdoors.","company":"Independence Tx","rawCompany":"independence tx","city":"Mentone","state":"TX","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-05T15:44:38.172Z","occupations":[{"code":"49-9071.00","title":"Maintenance and Repair Workers, General","slug":"maintenance-and-repair-workers-general"},{"code":"49-9099.00","title":"Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Workers, All Other","slug":"installation-maintenance-and-repair-workers-all-other"},{"code":"49-9041.00","title":"Industrial Machinery Mechanics","slug":"industrial-machinery-mechanics"}],"industries":[{"code":"212321","title":"Construction Sand and Gravel Mining","slug":"construction-sand-and-gravel-mining"},{"code":"212322","title":"Industrial Sand Mining","slug":"industrial-sand-mining"},{"code":"811310","title":"Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance","slug":"commercial-and-industrial-machinery-and-equipment-except-automotive-and-electronic-repair-and-maintenance"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Maintenance Tech","description":"Description:\nJOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY\nWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team.
