Active state nursing license or multistate nursing license is mandatory. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Agency staff may be required to float to other units and/or campuses as needed. Staff will float only to units they are qualified for, performing tasks for which competencies have been documented. This is an observation unit targeting a 20-hour stay or less for patients. Patients may be transitioned to inpatient status or discharged. Staffing ratios are 6 patients per nurse. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Trained professionals collaborate closely to provide comprehensive care.
