The qualified candidate will have at least 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in a structural engineering consulting role. The candidate will participating on project teams that are working on office, commercial, healthcare, sports, community, residential, and mixed-use projects. The qualified candidate should be self-motivated individual who can work within a team and serve clients on projects. You would be joining a company that supports community service, involvement in professional organization and professional development. Limited work from home schedule is offered for this position. This position will report to the Structural Group manager in the Silver Spring, Md office.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerforming structural analysis and design calculations (beam, column, slab, foundation, walls for wood, concrete, steel, and masonry structures).\nReading and developing contract plans and specifications.\nPerforming field review for projects under construction and surveys of existing structures.\nPreforming construction administration duties such as reviewing submittals and responding to RFIs.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Civil or architectural Engineering (with focus on structures) from an accredited university. Master’s degree a plus.\nEIT certification required.\n1 to 4 years of relevant experience in structural design of commercial, institutional, residential or infrastructure projects using concrete, steel and wood required. Experience should include structural design of new buildings, renovations, and additions.\nCandidate shall have a working knowledge and clear understanding of structural engineering principles.\nKnowledge of appropriate structural engineering design software required (e.g., RAM, ETABS, RISA, etc.)\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT is required.\nExcellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills required.\nHighly motivated and responsible individual with strong work ethic.\n‍\n\nHealthcare Benefits\nDelon Hampton & Associates, Chartered provides healthcare benefits to full-time employees working a minimum of 32 hours a work week.\n\nWork Authorization\n‍In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, we will hire only U.S. citizens and aliens lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
