MFG Production Operator

POSITION SUMMARYAs a Production Operator at Jackson\'s Food Company, you are responsiblefor ensuring the consistent packaging of high-quality, food-safeproducts that meet all company specifications. This role supportsefficient production by conducting internal quality checks, monitoringbagger feed rates, and operating assigned packaging equipment accordingto established standards. You play a key part in maintaining anaudit-ready environment through proper equipment setup, cleanliness,disassembly, and adherence to GMPs and SQF documentation requirements.The Production Operator communicates equipment or production concernspromptly to the Production Lead or Supervisor and assists in trainingteam members on packaging processes and safety procedures. Accuracy indocumentation, attention to detail, and a commitment to minimizingshrinkage and waste contribute directly to improved yields and overalloperational performance. Through reliable execution and teamwork, theBagger Operator helps ensure smooth product flow from the fry room tofinished packaging ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The followingstatements reflect the general details necessary to describe the majorfunctions of this position and are not intended to be a detaileddescription of all the work/functions that may be required. Other dutiesmay be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based onproduction needs. Responsible for packaging high-quality, food-safeproducts that meet Jackson\'s specifications and quality standards.Communicate progress on daily job tasks and report productiondisruptions to the Production Lead in a timely manner. Conduct internalquality checks following Jackson\'s SQF guidelines, including sealintegrity, code date accuracy, bag weights, and packaging appearance.Provide training to team members as outlined in the onboarding plan,including equipment operation, safety procedures, and documentationrequirements. Notify the Production Supervisor promptly if equipment isnot meeting productivity standards or if run rates fall belowexpectations. Monitor bagger feed rate to ensure consistent chip flowbased on fry counts per hour, in collaboration with the fry room;performance measured through the plant hourly KPI tracker. Operateassigned equipment, including setup, startup, shutdown, cleaning,disassembly, and selecting correct programs on the HMI. Replenish film,seasonings, and packaging materials as needed, with performance measuredby plant KPIs and line run time. Verify that all required documentationis completed accurately and on time in accordance with Jackson\'s SQFprogram. Actively contribute to minimizing shrinkage and waste tosupport overall yield improvement. Maintain a clean, organized, andaudit-ready work area at all times. Follow all GMPs, food safetypolicies, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures. Communicateequipment issues, material shortages, or quality concerns immediately tothe Lead or Supervisor. EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma Orgeneral education degree (GED). 1 to 3 years of related experienceand/or training in food manufacturing or machine operation.
