Territory Sales Manager

Position OverviewThe Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned territory while supporting overall company profitability and long-term business objectives. This role focuses on building strong dealer relationships, executing effective territory strategies, and making sound business decisions that contribute to sustainable, profitable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Territory ManagementConduct and direct all sales-related activities within the assigned territoryService existing accounts while identifying, developing, and onboarding new dealer partnersPlan, organize, and execute a structured call schedule for current and prospective accountsTake ownership of territory performance and overall business resultsStrategic Execution & Profitability SupportSupport company profitability through disciplined pricing execution, thoughtful product mix recommendations, and effective program participationAssist in managing inventory flow, availability and floor plan awarenessHelp ensure promotions and programs are executed consistently and effectivelyMarket Intelligence & Product SupportMonitor competitive activity including pricing, products, new product launches, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniquesProvide market feedback and insights to support sales, marketing, and product strategy decisionsDemonstrate products and services, assisting dealers in selecting solutions aligned with market demandDealer Support & Relationship ManagementAct as a consultative partner to dealers while maintaining alignment with company policies and objectivesAssist dealers with sales and marketing planningResolve customer and dealer concerns by investigating issues, developing solutions, and communicating recommendationsBuild strong working relationships with dealer principals, sales teams, and service departmentsAdditional ResponsibilitiesMaintain professional and technical knowledge of products, programs, and industry trendsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsStrong knowledge of Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE)Understanding of distributor sales operations, pricing programs, and territory managementAbility to develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategiesExceptional communication, relationship-building, and customer service skillsProven negotiation, prospecting, and closing abilitiesMinimum 2 years of outside sales experience (OPE industry preferred)Ability to operate as a consultative, business-minded sales professionalProficiency with CRM systems and company-provided softwareValid driver’s licenseWillingness to travel, including 1–2 overnight stays per week
