This is a hands-on controls programming role supporting the design, development, and implementation of industrial control systems for process wastewater treatment applications.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs, the ability to read and interpret industrial control specifications, and a solid understanding of industrial automation systems. This position is ideal for a controls professional who enjoys hands-on programming and would like the opportunity to grow into additional responsibility within the controls function.\n\nThis is a direct-hire, onsite position with limited travel and no overtime.\n\nSalary: $90,000–$120,000 per year\n\n*Duties*\n\n* Program, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial control systems.\n* Develop and support PLC programs for industrial equipment and process applications.\n* Program and troubleshoot *Allen-Bradley PLC systems*.\n* Review, interpret, and evaluate industrial control specifications.\n* Determine programming, PLC, HMI, and controls requirements based on project specifications.\n* Assist with the development and implementation of control system solutions.\n* Troubleshoot controls issues and support equipment startup and commissioning as needed.\n* Collaborate with engineering, production, electrical, and other internal teams on controls requirements.\n* Review control system documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure programming requirements are understood and met.\n* Support continuous improvement of programming practices, controls systems, and department processes.\n* Work with other members of the controls team to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.\n* Take on additional technical or leadership responsibilities as experience and interest develop.\n\n*Requirements*\n\n* Minimum of *5 years of experience in industrial controls*.\n* Minimum of *2 years of hands-on PLC programming experience*.\n* Minimum of *2 years of experience reviewing and interpreting industrial control specifications*.\n* Demonstrated experience as a hands-on *Controls Programmer, Controls Engineer, PLC Programmer, or similar role*.\n* Strong experience programming and troubleshooting *Allen-Bradley PLCs*.\n* Ability to read, understand, and evaluate industrial control specifications.\n* Solid understanding of industrial automation and control systems.\n* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n* Ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative environment.\n* Must be able to work onsite in the *Baltimore, MD area*.\n* Must be authorized to work in the United States.\n\n*Preferred Qualifications*\n\n* Experience with *Unitronics* PLC platforms a plus\n* Experience with HMI programming and industrial communication networks.\n* Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, or field troubleshooting.\n* Experience in water/wastewater, process equipment, industrial manufacturing, OEM, or systems integration environments a plus\n* Interest in eventually taking on additional controls leadership responsibilities.\n\n*Education*\n\nNo specific degree is required.
